I went to their paediatric department to check my daughter and she has been diagnosed with ear infection and sore throat but never been given anything g for her ear infection and sent home. Two days later there is an ongoing discharge from her left ear and ended up at the paediatric department for last three hours to be seen by a doctor but there is no sign or visibility of doctor!!!
AVOID!!!!! Dreadful from beginning to end. My 21 year old daughter was misdiagnosed plus they put her in the care of Dr Carlos O. Martinez a geriatric doctor who didn’t have a clue. He was also extremely rude and thought he knew it all The bathrooms were infested with silver fish. Thankfully got her transferred out of that hell whole.
My daughter gave birth by c-section on the 16th January this year at Watford General Hospital, she had great care during her pregnancy and the birth couldn't have gone smoother, she was very happy, her midwife was Amanda Chow throughout her pregnancy, although not there at the actual birth I believe, but all staff, during the birth, put her totally at ease and it could not have been better.
So thank you from all of us, please pass on to the relevant departments.
Really appreciate the care and concern shown in the staff especially Dr Equi, always benefits me every visit

The team were very welcoming and kept me at ease the whole time. We had a chat and I felt informed about the whole procedure. I was really happy with the team and how I was treated.
Great hospital
I was kept informed of my appointment. Due to a lack of beds, my operation was likely to be postponed however I got the call in the afternoon and within the hour I was in the operating theatre. Everyone I encountered was helpful and friendly. The operation went great. It was surprisingly quick. The aftercare was very comforting starting with a cup of tea and sandwich. I was discharged the next day. The nurses checked in on me regularly. I honestly couldn't have asked for more. Great experience overall.
I was sent to A&E by my GP as an emergency. My wife brought me and walking with great difficulty from the car park two very kind workers got a porter for me who then took me to A&E. The receptionist was very efficient and asked the triage nurse to take my stats and then immediately took me to a cubicle. The staff although extremely busy were very attentive and expediently did all the tests required. I was then admitted to Elizabeth ward. The staff there were very kind, attentive and professional. I then had surgery and was moved to ICU. Again the staff was extremely kind attentive and professional. I then moved to Flounden B ward where the staff looked after me extremely well. They were friendly, attentive and professional.
Throughout this whole experience I thought the care I received was excellent. Even the food which is often criticised was very good. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the work of everyone I met. I was discharged on 28 June 2022 and am making a very good recovery at home. My thanks to everyone.

I recently spent a week in Watford General following an appendicectomy. The staff on the Victoria ward were all amazing and I felt really well looked after. My partner and I could not have been more grateful.
Only criticism was the heat on the ward but the temperature this week has been 27-31 degrees and I appreciate there’s nothing the staff can do about the building.
